Trust—The Fourth Expectation

VentureSource President Andy Levesque recently joined a S&P Global panel discussion about today’s volatile automotive supply chain. What it means to be a "trusted supplier" in today's industry, was one topic discussed.

Traditionally, trust was built on three things:

  • Quality

  • Cost

  • Delivery

Those factors still matter, but many customers are now asking for something more.

They want greater visibility into sourcing, supply chains, risk exposure, and supporting data.

In other words, trust is becoming increasingly tied to transparency. The suppliers that can clearly communicate where products come from, how risks are managed, and what is happening throughout the supply chain may have an advantage as customer expectations continue to evolve.
